Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, which Russia unleashed, 127 saboteurs have been detained in Kyiv, including 14 sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
This was announced by the head of the military administration of the capital, Nikolai Zhirnov, on the air of Ukrainian television.
He also explained that thanks to the checkpoints operating in Kyiv, not only a network of checkpoints for equipment and people was created, but also the basis of fortifications , engineering barriers.
In addition, Nikolai Zhirnov stressed that the city has reserves for long-term defense, if such a need arises. According to him, today there are 33 markets, 635 shops are open in the city, including 19 hypermarkets.
Earlier, Nikolai Zhirnov said that the situation around Kyiv is now tense. A large grouping of troops was created around the city and the capital, a system of defensive lines, areas and positions was built, various kinds of barriers were equipped, in particular mine-explosive ones, surprises were arranged for those who want to enter the city.
Also in Kyiv created a food supply for two weeks in case of a blockade of the capital by Russian troops.
