121 children died at the hands of Russian invaders in Ukraine – Office of the Prosecutor General

Since the beginning of Russia's large-scale war against Ukraine, 121 children have died, 167 children have received injuries of varying severity. This was reported in the Office of the Prosecutor General.

Children suffered the most in the Kiev region – 61, Kharkiv – 41, Donetsk – 40, Chernihiv – 32, Mykolaiv – 24, the capital – 16, Zhytomyr – 15, Kherson – 15 and Sumy – 14.

< p> In the Donetsk region, Russian invaders continue to shell cities and residential areas where there are civilians. So, a 9-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy were killed by Russian weapons, three children were injured.

On March 17, the invaders mercilessly killed the father of a large family in front of their 14-year-old son. The guy got shot. This happened when they went for humanitarian aid and medicines to the center of the occupied Bucha, Kiev region, where the family lives, because there was no gas, electricity and water in their house for almost two weeks.

On the evening of March 22, a Russian shell got into a high-rise building in Rubizhne, Luhansk region. Three people died, two of them — children.

As a result of daily bombing and shelling in Ukraine, 548 educational institutions were damaged, 72 of them were completely destroyed. These are more than 220 schools, 155 kindergartens.

The worst situation is in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Nikolaev, Sumy, Kiev, Kherson, Chernihiv regions and in Kyiv. In addition, more than 40 institutions for children, including medical, art schools, sports facilities, libraries, were damaged by enemy fire.
