12 Slovenian handball players were poisoned before the World Cup match with the tournament hosts

As part of the Slovenian national handball team, there was a massive food poisoning at the World Cup in Egypt. Handball-Planet reports.

The incident happened on the eve of the decisive match of the main round with the hosts of the tournament. In a statement, the Slovenian Handball Federation notes that 12 players were injured, including team leader Blaž Blagotinšek. The players reportedly suffered from nausea and diarrhea.
