Since the beginning of the war unleashed by Russia, 115 children have died in Ukraine, and even more 140 were injured. This was announced by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
Most of all children suffered at the hands of Russian invaders in the Kiev region — 58, Kharkiv — 36, Donetsk -29, Chernihiv — 30, Nikolaevskaya — 22, Zhytomyr — 15, Sumy — 14 and Kherson — 14.
As noted in the Office of the Prosecutor General, on March 19, as a result of the shelling of the city of Rubizhne in the Luhansk region, a residential building was destroyed as a result of shelling by Putin's troops. From under its rubble, rescuers got two children. They did cardiopulmonary resuscitation, trying to save, but failed. The children did not survive.
Another child with his mother was found under the rubble. Unfortunately, the doctors declared the death of the woman, and the child was saved. His condition is stable and satisfactory. Also on March 19, a 9-year-old boy was killed as a result of the shelling of residential buildings in Kharkov.
Due to regular Russian bombing and shelling of civilian infrastructure and residential areas, 489 educational institutions were damaged, 69 of them were completely destroyed.

However, the Office of the Prosecutor General emphasizes that these data are not final, since it is impossible to inspect the places of shelling in the areas of active hostilities and in the temporarily occupied territories.
