11 people died in a fire in an apartment building in the Czech Republic

11 people became victims of a fire in an apartment building in the Czech town of Bohumin. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

Representatives of the local police said that a fire killed three children who lived together in the apartment where the fire occurred.

Local authorities told reporters that does not exclude the possibility of arson. Residents spoke about what they saw as police detained the man, who claimed that the fire was started by it. The fire in Bohumin was the most tragic in the number of victims in the Czech Republic over the last 30 years.

Earlier, eight newborn babies died in a fire in the maternity ward of a hospital in Algeria. Three babies died from burns and five others suffocated, said firefighters. According to the Minister of health of the country, the fire allegedly broke out because of the faulty device from mosquitoes.
