100-year-old American cites daily Manhattan cocktail as the reason for longevity

A US resident who loves travel and good parties celebrated her 100th birthday and revealed the secret of her longevity. Reported by Staten Island Advance.
Marie Bellezza from New York celebrated the significant date December 11 with her family – she has two children, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The American worked for many years as a saleswoman in large chain stores, and later learned to be an accountant. Despite her advanced age, a woman lives in her own house and takes care of herself.
Bellezza, even at the age of 100, remains a big fan of parties, and her favorite holiday is Halloween. The pensioner said that the reason for her longevity was her love for the Manhattan cocktail. She drinks an alcoholic drink every day at exactly 4:00 pm. This tradition originated from the woman's late husband, who usually returned from work at this particular time.
Among her family and neighbors, Bellezza is famous for her homemade cakes and handicraft skills: she perfectly sews curtains and even made festive Easter outfits for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren herself.
Earlier it was reported that a 105-year-old resident of Great Britain passed the marathon distance and shared the secret of longevity. According to Ruth Saunders, she owes her long active life to regular exercise and proper nutrition.
