100-year-old resident of Trinidad and Tobago has revealed the secret of her longevity. This is reported by Trinidad and Tobago Newsday.
Bernice Agatha Skeete claims that in her youth she never ran to parties and tried not to leave her native places for a long time. She never liked alcohol, so she hardly drank. But the long-liver never limited herself in food. “Doctors are not a decree for me. I always eat what I want. I have never chosen something special, ”she says.
Skeet was born in the poor village of Zion Hill and received her primary education at a local Anglican school. In her youth, she worked on a cocoa plantation, where she learned to value labor and money. “If you didn’t work, you weren’t paid,” the woman recalls.
Now, according to her, morals have changed a lot. She believes that before people treated each other with much greater respect, and now sometimes they do not even pay attention to their neighbors.
Skeet has always devoted her life to her family and loved ones. She now lives with her daughter Gloria Andrews. In total, the woman had four children, but only three survived until her birthday. In addition, she has eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Due to restrictions related to the spread of COVID-19, the whole family was unable to come to the holiday, but they recorded congratulatory videos for Skeet.
Earlier it was reported that a resident of Ireland, who celebrated her 106th birthday, considers the secret of her longevity to be calm. In addition, the long-liver claims that she never drank alcohol, did not smoke, and did not fly on an airplane.
