100 million people voted early in the US elections

More than 100 million Americans voted early in the US general election. This is evidenced by the data from the US Elections Project of the University of Florida.

According to him, two thirds of these votes – more than 64.5 million – were sent by mail. More than 35.7 million people came to the polling stations in person. According to Reuters, 100 million is more than 70 percent of all Americans who voted in 2016 and about 40 percent of all eligible to vote in general.

The sharp increase in the number of early voters is associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. It is because of the coronavirus, which killed more than 231,000 Americans, that the United States was allowed to vote by mail.

It was previously reported that nearly 900 companies in the United States agreed to provide their employees with paid voting time in the 2020 presidential election.

Prior to that, it became known that the Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden won the vote in the small village of Dixville Notch in New Hampshire.

November 3 is general election day in the United States. Citizens elect a president and vice president, and 35 senators, the entire House of Representatives, 13 governors and local government representatives will be elected.
