Ten Iranian officials were charged with the crash of a Ukrainian passenger plane in Iran last January. This was announced by the former Prosecutor of Tehran Province Golamabbas Torki.
“Ten officials involved in the crash of the Ukrainian plane have been brought to justice. The necessary conclusions will be made in court, ”the ISNA agency quoted him as saying.
Recall that 176 people died as a result of the liner crash. It turned out that the plane was shot down by an Iranian missile. The Iranian authorities have admitted their guilt.
In March, the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran published the final investigation report on the crash of the Ukrainian airliner. Iranian experts named the mistake of the operator of the air defense system as the cause of the disaster. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba called this report biased. According to him, the report shows that Tehran conducted a technical investigation “with numerous violations” of international standards.
