The SKU Amstetten has ended its negative run in the 2nd division (six defeats in a row) and scored again for the first time since March 13th. The Lower Austrians were in the lead against the Young Violets for a long time thanks to an early goal by David Peham (17th) before Anouar El Moukhantir leveled it late (85th).
Peham shoots Amstetten in the front – Demolisher holds the zero
The guests from Amstetten suffered a severe setback early on in the game: Captain Matthias Wurm was unable to continue due to an injury. Daniel Scharner came into play in his place (8th). Shortly before, Can Kurt had tried a shot from a long distance, but the ball sailed just over the crossbar.
Shortly after the change on the side of Amstetten, the Jungveilchen found the first top chance of the game: Muharem Huskovic refueled from the center line and suddenly came to a standstill from Dennis Verwüster, but the Amstetten goalie saved with a strong foot defense.
David Peham did better on the other side: Valentin Grubeck had an eye on the Amstettner goalgetter at the penalty area, who hit the lead with a flat, sharp shot into the far corner – 0: 1 (17th). Shortly afterwards, Apollonio found a chance to equalize, but Demolisher was on the spot, as was the case against Huskovic (21st). The fact that the Lower Austrians survived the first half without conceding a goal was thanks to goalkeeper Verwüster.
El Moukhantir ensures the late compensation
Shortly after the break, Dennis Verwüster had to save again: The Amstetten goalie was there when Huskovic shot (48th). After a little over an hour, Peham had a huge chance of 2-0, but the 29-year-old headed the ball into Gindl's hands from close range.
In the closing stages, the home side stepped up a gear and were rewarded for their efforts: Huskovic served El Moukhantir with a pass into the back area. The captain of the Young Violets had time and finished with a deliberate shot to make it 1: 1 (85th).
The guests from Amstetten pushed for an equalization in the final phase. Patrick Puchegger had it on his head, but the defender knocked the ball past a very thin free kick (90 + 2).
